This beautiful boat has been sitting on the hard at Cracker Boy
Boatworks for several months now. The scuttle is that the owners financial situation has changed for the worse. This is the boat that Richard
Branson chartered for a foiled Trans Atlantic record attempt some months back, hence the Virgin Money graphics.
Very hard to get good photos due to the sheer size of this
vessel.
Draft is 18' of canting carbon fibre strut with a way cool bulb on the bottom. Also not as clear in this photo is the new
fangled T drive system. The prop and shaft
hinge down from the
bottom for a clean underwater profile. Only not so new. It is remarkably
similar to the designs developed by the
Dispro Boat Co. about 100 years ago for there small rowboats and canoes.
Just one more shot. When we're out sailing around in lake Worth (part of the
ICW in Palm Beach) you can see this red hull up in its cradle for quite a distance.
